A pre-sales professional acts as a bridge between sales and technical teams, understanding customer needs, proposing solutions, conducting demonstrations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive Technical Success in Pre-Sales: Collaborate with Hive Pro sellers to support complex deals during the pre-sales stage, taking ownership of technical engagements to secure technical wins.
  • Provide Timely Technical Responses: Work closely with the internal sales team and customers to deliver high-quality, timely technical responses to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Uncover New Use Cases: Identify technical and business value gaps between the customer’s current state and their desired outcomes, showcasing how the Hive Pro platform bridges these gaps.
  • Collaborate with Product Management: Partner with product teams to prioritize impactful feature requests and share innovative ideas for new products and integrations
  • Frequent Customer Engagement: This hands-on, technical individual contributor role requires frequent travel to customer locations (approximately 30% travel).
  • Market & Competitive Insights: Maintain a strong understanding of competitive products, security technologies, and key differentiators to propose the right solutions that meet customer requirements.



Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Domain Expertise
  • 5+ years of experience in vulnerability management or related technology domains.
  • In-depth knowledge of tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7.
  • Hands-on experience with asset management, patching, vulnerability management, policy compliance, configuration management, cloud security, application security, and threat detection.
Cloud & Cybersecurity Knowledge
  • Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure offerings such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
  • Exposure to penetration testing, threat intelligence, and risk assessment methodologies.
Customer-Facing Experience
  • Proven experience interacting with customers in a technical sales or similar role
  • Ability to position technical solutions effectively to meet customer requirements
Communication & Presentation Skills
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to build trust and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
